In the second match in group C in the Under 21 European Football Championship the Italian team defeated Denmark 2-0 in Krakow. In the earlier match on Sunday the German team defeated the Czech Republic 2-0.
As one of the favorites to triumph in the Under 21 UEFA European Championship the Italians did not let their fans down. Luigi Di Biagio and his team had to face a great resistance with the Danes. But eventually they managed to achieve the total score. Lorenzo Pellegrini with a magnificent shot scored the first goal. A few minutes before the end Andrea Petagna raised the score. Until the end of the dual there were no changes and finally the Italian team won 2-0 in their first match.
The youth representation for Germany confirmed their championship aspiration. Stefan Kunzt’s team controlled the whole match and deserved to win 2-0. The goals were scored by Max Mayer and Serge Gnabry. The victory might have been even more spectacular but at the end of the match Davie Selke did not score the penalty shot.
