„We played the worst match up in this tournament” -stated Marcin Dorna the coach of the Polish representation. We played with the best team in the group, who in the elimination round played very convincingly and was the favourite in this confrontation. It is very hard to say, why there was such a big difference between the two teams” -added Marcin Dorna.
” I am very proud of how we started the match and how many situations we created. Now it occurred to us how important the tie with Sweden 0-0 was and how important it was, that Jordan Pickford saved the penalty shot. I believed that we would make it to the semifinals. We were among the best 12 and now we are in the final 4. The next challenge is before us. To advance to the final and become the best team in Europe” -stated the English coach Adrian Boothroyd.
In the second match up in group A, Slovakia defeated Sweden 3-0.
